Anyone used a Tri Star Raptor 20 gauge for a turkey gun

Yes, my son has one, run some high powered shells through it first to get it chambering well and roll with it. His is good, we both have killed birds with it. I'd rather tote it then my 12ga. Patterns great with regular shells,(shoots Fed. 3rd Degree) would love to get some TSS, maybe one day.

I'm not sure about the raptor. But I bought my son a tristar 20 gauge youth about 10-11 years ago. The year after I bought they changed a few things. The original model is a little better quality in my opinion. I wish I could find another original before they made the changes.

With that being said. That little gun is one of the best shooting guns we own. I like it as much as any of my high end guns. It is the only gun I turkey hunt with. It patterns much better at 40 yds than any of our 12 gauge turkey guns.

A few people I know that have bought the raptors seem to really like them for the cost.
