And when there is snow an ice fishing sled work great for getting the gear in and Bambi's daddy out. A sled can also help float gear and game into or out of swampy or marshy areas....

I hunted with fixed stands and climbers for years until I discovered saddle hunting. I have a few models that i use for different occasions. I’ve spent a few years developing my system, it’s not perfect but it works well for me and it looks like just what your looking for. Look up the New Tribe Kestrel. It’s a very minimal lightweight saddle that you wear into your tree. There are 100 different ways us saddle hunters climb trees, but I personally use tree spikes and special equipment to rappel down. It’s the ultimate lightweight hunting system that is safer and more comfortable than any climber or fixed stand.

Easy. Climber on back, pack on front. Weapon in hand.

They balance each other out. Carry as much as you are willing to haul.

My son and I carry our gear the way Sky Hawk said. At first it seemed awkward, but then I got use to it and it works pretty good.
