Traveling south in the next week or so. Never worried about it before but the way things are these days I thought it prudent to ask: Any CCW reciprocity problems traveling south to Florida?

Changed when that liberal governor they had signed some bill a couple years ago when he was shmoozing Hillary.

Was also overturned by a significant backlash which reinstated reciprocity with NC shortly after IIRC.

Look at the dates between your link and the VA link.

Does SC still have a funky law where it is only concealed if it is on your person? I know someone that used to stop just before the border and put the gun on him and then drive through SC.

SC does not allow open carry. If you have a CCW permit from SC or another state that they respricate with you can carry concealed. If not it has to eb in a container, case, glove box, etc. Either way you cannot carry open so it would have to either be concealed on your person with a permit or in a case or compartment.

That must be what it was. He usually threw it on the passenger seat when he travelled.
