Finally got it done

Ten Pointer
Well yesterday afternoon I finally got to put my hands on some horns. We started building our house last deer season so hunting has been slim. Last year I was only able to harvest 1 doe for some meat late in the year. This year same deal the house has taken alot of time and having a hectic job along with 3 small children, hunting has really been on the back burner. I had some off around Thanksgiving and was able to hunt a few times. Saw plenty of deer but was waiting on a good buck. The Monday morning after Thanksgiving I had a chance at a nice buck but shot was no good and was unable to recover him after an exhausting track job. So yesterday afternoon we had been painting and finished around 430 so I decided to go sit for last hour. Spooked some deer walking in so around 515 hit grunt call really loud figured couldn't hurt anything and 2 minutes later here comes nice 8pt and I was able to put him down. My 2 boys were just as happy as me the little princess not so much (too much blood). I'm very thankful for the opportunity. So for the long post but just wanted to share.

Congratulations. Years from now after that house is complete and you have more time to hunt you'll remember squeezing in a short hunt and taking that buck.
