After working a few hours (0500-0700) took my young dog out for some field work,,,,them back to work for a few hours then meet a fellow for a "business meeting" at the sporting clays course (held my own for a one eyed fat man),,,,then another hour of work till grandson woke up ,,,,

He and I fed dogs and rode the tractor (about like a Disney ride to him),,,

And now have the beagle out for some evening rabbit chasing,,,,my last beagle , he's 9 an still likes to burn them up,, my female beagle passed of old age last friday (she was a rescue dog but a fair rabbit dog and dead broke - would tell on other dogs if they jumped a deer)

Sounds like a perfect day, if you take out the "few hours of work".
Sorry you lost your dog. I've got one heading that way soon. He is a beagle as well but has no clue what a rabbit is. He only sounds off when he wants a cookie.

thanks Lee,,,,she went quietly,,,,,no disease issues,,,,just was wore out,,,,,acted like a pup the day prior,,,then went to sleep and didn't wake up,,,,
