As the aging clock slowly ticks away, I have been recently reminded how much appreciate my turkey hunting mentor, who happens to still be my favorite hunting compadre today. Here's a walk down memory lane with him. I used to complain about the way he'd make me pose with every turkey, but now I have to admit I'm glad he did it.

Funny how we tend take things for granted until we realize we won't always have it. I've got a good friend who lost his turkey hunting mentor and favorite hunting buddy recently, and mine has a couple health issues that may make things tougher in the future. So, enjoy it and appreciate it while you can!

i have no clue what his health issues are but if he is as tough and determined as you (Achilles rupture) he'll be fine.

Prayers for you both.

Great pics. I am still mad i accidentally reformated the SD card from my moms camera with a bunch of pics from the time my dad and I doubled up on turkeys. Luckily i had taken a few pics with my camera.
