and it begins,,,

SC archery season opened yesterday in the zone I hunt. I almost didn't make it as we had to have a new range delivered and they chose the 15th! Add in some work and it was 4PM before I left the house

Some say it's too hot, to many misquitos, to this, to that,,,

me, I need to hunt as soon as I can - personal failing I guess. Plus they invented thermacells for those pesky misquitos and the tree stand hunt isn't too bad if you have a cool front or some breeze,,,,

had the thermacell,,,,,,didn't have neither of the other two!! Still as it could be yesterday,,,hot,,,,humid,,,,

guess it could have been hotter (was only 91) but doubt it could have been muggier!

seen a couple of squirrels and a fat ol' raccoon



why is it that about the hottest/muggiest state in the nation has an August season???????

but I was happy,,,,if hot,,,the season is here,,,,long live the season!!

You'll get one soon enough I suspect. Looking forward to the story when it happens.
