6mm axis vs 6mm aftermath arrows

Old Mossy Horns
Same specs weight and spine. Axis +_.003 aftermath +_.005 straightness.
40$ difference in a dozen shafts.
I just cut from them front and the back of the shafts and ended up with some really straight arrows. I'm going through the dozen now and group shooting them all. Seems like these shafts are steal of a deal.

I get a dozen Aftermath shafts a year and fletch them up for shooting groundhogs, squirrels and whatever else needs shooting at. Although I don't hunt deer with them, I would have no issue doing so. They are very similar to the Easton Epics, which Easton d/c a few years ago, one of my favorite arrows. The Aftermath following the ST Excels which had much of the same tolerance and specs. They are reasonably tough too, and unless i make direct contact with a tree so that no deflection is possible I typically can keep shooting the arrow. I am rough on them since I shoot a lot of stuff, but the price is hard to beat.
I get the shafts cut to length from South Shore Archery, and by the time I add Blazers and glue there's only about $70 invested in a dozen including shipping.
