Keep something in it or the squirrels will eat it up also I have mending plates on the legs and on top of the feeding tubes and the coons are still all over it. I put corn in it last week and there was a crawfish claw on the top.
I put out a 1000lbs of potatoes Saturday and there almost gone...there are a lot of deer but no shooters so far.

I don't feed cob corn there now. I started with cob corn before i could get potatoes. I moved the feeder there when i stopped using cob corn. The only thing planted in the fields in my general area is tobacco and sweet potatoes so there accustomed to them. The acorn crop look pretty good this summer, I'm not sure how long they'll last though.
