picked up my two items that Ryan Garrison, of Garrison Taxidermy, did up for me (his facebook as well)

my 2016 SC velvet buck,,,,not a monster by any means, but a deer that fulfilled a desire I have had since I was 14 years old,,,,,

and my ptarmigan,,,,,,,

this ptarmigan was a special challenge for Ryan Garrison as it sat in the freezer for 10 years! The idea was to have a pair, but the second one (prettiest and biggest) didn't survive the freezer burn. This one required Ryan to innovate to save it.

He is a gifted taxidermist and I am lucky he is right here in Moore County,,,,,

and blame the lousy pictures on my iphone 3,,,,,reckon I need to upgrade one day,,,,,

Good stuff. My one and only velvet buck stayed in the freezer to my love for deer hunting had waned and I never mounted it. I went for years wanting one then when I got one I squandered it. That was pretty sorry on my part.
