Do short barreled specialty turkey shotguns (20"-24") lose significant velocity over standard 26"-28" barrels?
We know the maneuverability benefits of having a shorter barrel, but at what cost? Velocity? Pattern?
Mine is a full 28", and it catches on everything. It's like carrying a 2x4 on your back. I'm probably gonna stick with it, but I know someone who is considering getting a special purpose turkey shotgun, and I'm wondering if a 20" barrel can really perform like a 28".
