We have done quiet bit more to it. have had a good year hunting. Since photobucket shut my pictures down I don't have another way to post them and have gotten slack on the updates. We had a really good year of trail camera pictures. I will try and figure out how to post pictures thru some other avenue, Thanks so much for the interest.

Well that seams to have posted so I'm gonna try a post with few pictures. I hate I lost all the photobucket links.

This is the kitchen and butcher block counter tops I did. I then installed the air rock as back splash.

This is the 9 point I passed twice last year. The split picture is a good picture to tell his antler jump from 3.5 to 4.5, as a back story he was the first buck I ever got on camera on this farm. He was on one of my cameras daily last year. I had pictures of him the day he dropped his antlers on Feb 21 this year. He did not show back up on camera this year until September this year. Once he did he was back to his same routine, center of farm and eat eat eat... he loved the gravity feeders. Used them daily, did not seam to like being with or around a lot of deer. I only got one set of daylight pictures of him. Oct. 30 would be the last pictures I would get of him on my farm.

I hunted quite a bit this year and seen lots of bucks. Couple really nice deer, drew on one 8 point that I wanted to shoot and darkness saved him. On Oct. 30 I went to my favorite stand on the property in the back corner of the farm. Thick cut-over on neighbors farm that funnels up into my hardwoods. Before leaving my truck I checked weather.com and Huntstand both saying wind was perfect for this spot. Once climbing in I realised they lied. 5min later I was dropping my bow, and climbing out..... Made a mad dash to center of farm climbed into my shooting house and let loose a complete cuss fit to online weather & wind apps! So after sitting awhile I had couple doe feed out, they stayed around all evening. With about 15min of the evening left both doe started staring past my box to the left hand plot. I remember thinking what them crazy things see, as I turned my head the 9point was standing broadside at 35yrds looking at a opossum. I stood up, lifted my bow from the hanger, and ranged him 32yrds, drew my bow and shot. I knew the shot looked good, and heard him crash into something, being in the box I didn't see him run but a few steps. I sat there silent and almost kinda queasy. I knew he was dead, I also knew with out doubt this was my best deer of my life. By no means a huge deer by TV standards, but tv hasn't helped pay for this dirt, That moment is what I had hoped for when I signed the purchase papers. After sitting for almost an hour I climbed out walked to where he was hit and began to track, He made it almost 60yrds hit a tree and was done. My 1st regret is being alone I didn't get a good picture of him. And my largest regret was trying to drag him back to the plot alone!!!

Megan has a very restrictive work schedule. So as for her hunting time, I really try to plan the best I can, we had her vacation scheduled for 2nd week of Nov. But with very sluggish buck movement I had been seeing I had her cancel it. And we would go the week of thanksgiving which in turn would allow her to gun hunt also. After I got home from bear hunting on coast for week we headed out. Got there and started hunting, didn't take but a minute and this guy chased a Doe into a food plot. All I was told was "there's a good buck, what do you think?" As I begin to speak the words, "He'll be...." I was rocked by her 7mm RUM ... and what "he will be" is hers from now on. He is a nice buck I've seen him quite a few times this year. Couldn't be more proud of her she made her own decision and is still tickled. Also 1 thing You really don't want her shooting at ya, one thing I have learned is most ladies are really conscious of "hurting" an animal and not killing it Megan is no different if she shoots she feels good about it...

Made a day trip to check on house and farm. With weather coming in we only stayed the day and drove back. Creeks were froze and made a nice walk. I filled feeders and pulled some cameras. Quick trip but a day there is worth the drive!

Haven't hopped on this thread in a while, glad I did. Congrats on a great season. I love KY, been leasing out there for the last 7-8 years. Hunting is great and people for the most part are too. Owning land out there is in my future as well (god willing!).
