Where to fish?

Asked a couple people by PM, but thoughts is get everyone's opinion. Myself and shotgunfan are going to NCHF get together at conmans, but we are leaving early to do a little surf or pier fishing tomorrow. We will be staying at lake Phelps, so where would y'all recommend for us to go tomorrow? I know NOTHING about where to go as far as fishing that area....

Its still a fair hike from Phelps but we used to enjoy and do fairly well at the pier in Avon.

What "area" are you thinking of going to? The beaches have been rough the last couple of days and fishing has been tough and slow. Piers are catching a few. The wind is supposed to calm some this afternoon and tomorrow morning before picking up again tomorrow afternoon. When are you going to arrive?

That's for Saturday and Sunday. :) never fished a pier before, so looking forward to giving it a go for a few hours
