06//11/16 Report

Took my father-in-law out Spanish fishing this morning. He hasn't been out the inlet in years and I was hoping to show him a great day. Beaufort Inlet and the surrounding area was snotty and made fishing tough but we went east and found slightly smoother water in about 40ft. Never found big groups of fish but slowly picked at them for a few hours and made it back to marina by 9am with 13 keepers. All bites came on silver spoons with green flash behind the #1 planer.

Nice work fowl- we had a tough time finding keepers today. Brought home a few but threw a bunch back!

Thanks for playing by the rules and throwing the little ones back. We see other boats keeping everything when we're out off Carolina Beach, especially some of the charter boats.
