had a buddy tell me i needed to try a lake local to me for some big perch. he said hes been catching 14ish" fish pretty consistently. ive got the lake, time of day, and bait to use. but my question is where would you want to start looking for them depth wise.

Have a hds9 with side scan and down scan.

Main channel is 80-90ft deep with it being around 120 at dam.

If it’s the lake I think it is, good luck getting past the crappie. If it IS the same lake, based on your location and the lake I fished when I lived at that location, you didn’t need a boat, you could just walk on the crappie to get there ?

It is NOT Lake Junaluska If that’s where you are thinking. But yes your statement is correct for there don’t even need bait or lures a gold hook usually works
