I would say what’s helped me lose the weight I have, prior to me starting to workout again was my job as well. I work in a warehouse and am on my feet all day, everyday. Except for lunchtime. I walk constantly .

Buy a steak from me, let’s see if I can change that tune.
The last cow I killed that wasn't pulled off pasture and finished out on grain still had the grass smell and taste even after I aged the quarters 12-15 days dry before I cut and wrapped for the freezer. What can you do to improve the taste?

Maybe a little bit off the side of the discussion, but.......Its simply amazing that people will not pay a little extra money to buy healthy food. They will go cheaper and buy all sorts of processed foods shot full of antibiotics, hormones, all sorts of pharmaceuticals and eat them for years, saving money. Later in life that saved money plus a whole lot more is spent at a doctor / specialist / surgeons office due to all sorts of failing medical conditions. If they would do a little research and find a local family farm that farms responsibly and produces food the way the good Lord intended for it to be, and consider the local family farmer down the road, spend a bit more up front and buy healthy, responsibly-raised food from them more often, I really believe lots of health issues people have (including obesity) would start to dwindle in numbers. Nothing replaces being active, but also eating right is a huge part of the equation. Pay a little more now or pay for it alot more later. You wouldnt believe the people I have talked to and have this discussion and they agree wholeheartedly in word but scoff at the higher price of a fresh, family-farm, healthy grass-fed, pharm-free pack of hamburger beef and go right on down to the big box store and buy some unknown origin pack of pre-patted burgers thats been chocked full of preservatives and such, on the cheap. I tell them pay now or pay later (and youre playing with your life down the road). Just food for thought...(no pun intended).

Not to mention how good pure food is versus processed food*.

I always prefer some grilled meat and fresh veggies over casseroles, etc. Eggs & bacon Trump just about anything for breakfast.

Don’t get me wrong, I make a mean biscuit and gravy, but I have to remind myself it’s a treat, not an everyday thing.

*full disclosure…I will wear out a bag of chips, cookies, nabs, brownies, cake, pie, donuts, etc. that’s why I don’t want them in the house.

Right on... I’m a hands on GC and typical workdays can be pretty active. ( Framing, pouring concrete, landscaping, hanging sheetrock). I guess I didn’t elaborate on specific activities of my profession. Adding the cardio of hiking/scouting/hunting seems to balance out my exercising needs.

It’s amazing how fast it goes. I grabbed 2 sheets of drywall in HD one day and had to laugh at myself how comical I must’ve looked. Grip strength went fast. I pick up a 23oz framer and swing about 20 times, then start rubbing my forearm.
