I have a Winchester model 62A 22 I would like opinions of value on. I have seen prices all across the board. It appears that it was manufactured in 1955. Gun is in great condition and has been shot very little. Shows very light bluing wear on slide rail and sides of the hammer. Wood is nearly scratch free. What are some thoughts?

I've got the same gun in much worse condition that I paid $450 for years ago...no idea what they are worth now but that one was a family heirloom that I didn't want to leave the family so I paid what was asked.

Doubt I would ever let this one go either. Just researched web sales and was surprised at the prices. Both high and low.

If you're near Greensboro, Cherry's Fine Guns could likely give you a fair appraisal. I've used him before, and was satisfied with the results.

I have one made in 1952 in similar condition. I paid well above the price mentioned earlier. There is a huge following for these guns in some circles.

keeping it? Then go with the average highest real price, document it, and save. That way in the event of insurance needs, you have "proof" of value,,,

any other value is an estimate until you find a buyer willing to pay for what you are willing to let it go for.

Right on.... that’s basically what I’m doing. I annually update a list of all my firearms on a piece of paper that is kept in the safe with current values. It’s basically for the wife.... should something happen.

She is going to be surprised if she ever needs to sale things off.... she thinks I’ve had the same amount of guns for years now. 🤣
