There wasn’t much intel available online so with a little gps recon I ventured out there today. Like I read, fishing wasn’t spectacular, however the bass I caught was respectable. The scenery is great. Loads of aquatic bird species. It’s a perfect place for a kayak. They have a nice parking area, dock, and ramp. It looks like great habitat for fish.

The bluegill are on the small side. The crappie I caught were also. The panfish came off of the water surrounded scrub brush. Lots of underwater structure to look out for. You can tear a prop up easy. Lots of vegetation on and in the water.

I’ve lived in wilson co my whole life, and for some dumb reason, I’ve never been on that water. I’m going to try it out soon
