Who will be participating in the NCWRC Summer Turkey Observation Survey?

I believe I saw one hen with 8 poults this morning. Took about 10 pictures with my cell phone to try and confirm but it still wasn't clear. If they keep the same pattern I should see them again on my way to work.

Also have 9 gobbler sightings in two counties.

Saw 3 hens with a minimum of 12 poults behind the house around 7:00 this morning. There was probably a few more I couldn't see. An adult hen saw me and putted quietly & they moved off slowly. It was cool to see so many youngsters surviving and thriving.

We now have 3 gobblers showing up every morning, they all have "gobbler" beards but you can tell it's their first year as a gobbler as they aren't much to look at and the birds are all the same size. It's fun to watch them, they act completely different than the hens.
