Had all of these on 8-Track, played in my dad's truck as he drove me to football practice as a kid. They have stood the test of time:

Bob Segar - Night Moves
Boston - Boston
Rush - Moving Pictures

Jerry Clower's "Greatest Hits",,,,,,,,,

wouldn't know the name of any other album I've listened to,,,,, although there are a bunch of stuff I like,,, I don't like it enough to memorize who or what,,, just know it when I hear it

I couldn't narrow it down to one. I like classic rock geared towards southern rock (Allman Bros/Skynyrd) probably most, with some heavier stuff mixed in. Metallica Black album has been beat to heck but still great. I like the Marty Friedman era of Mega death too. Old DIO and Rainbow. I can still listen to Zeppelin, the Stones, and a host of others. Yet I like Croce and some 70's pop stuff too. I thought Chicago with Terry Kath was great too. Too many to list but most of the music I like is guitar centered. The Eagles too. Can keep going.

Honorable mentions:
I don't think Skynyrd made a bad album. 2nd helping is probably top to me, but honestly every one of their albums is solid start to finish.
Ozzy with Randy Rhoads is AMAZING, one of my favorite guitarists.
And VH 1 & 2 need no introduction, and fair warning has mean streets which is epic.
Appetite for Destruction is an awesome album.
Master of Puppets is a close 2nd to RTL to me.
And SRV's Texas Floods is just a great album.

Not an album but a video, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble Live at the El Mocambo really showcases his abilities with Fender Stratocaster. The man channels the electrons firing in his brain into the strings of that guitar like it's part of his body. He must have done a whole 8 ball before he walked out on stage its like he is possessed. I have it on VHS and disc, best performance with old school pedals and strat I have ever seen

Not sure it is possible to pick a favorite, it depends on my mood. However, I don't consider "Greatest Hits" in my thought on this subject. Most of the time the songs that are not considered the hits, or even released as singles, are what make an album and tie it all together, for me.

Allman Brothers - Live at the Fillmore
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Will the Circle be Unbroken

Narrowing my favorite album down to one would be difficult, nigh on impossible.

It’d be tough to top Physical Graffiti though. I’ve loved that record since I was a little kid.

I think that if I had to pick two artists for the rest of my life it’d probably be Zeppelin and Haggard. That’d cover most of my bases.

I don’t think I can come up with a favorite. My playlist has so many Genres in it. My tastes in music depend on my mood I guess. I have Billy Idol, Prince, Ozzy, Metallica, Eagles, Dusty Springfield, Janis Joplin, Doors, Yes, Queen, E,W&F, Toto, Five Finger Death Punch and on and on in my YouTube playlist.

Being a Gen-X, growing up in the 70-80s, the radio was a relaxing item to have around. I have been known to listen to the Statler Brothers, Alabama, Oak Ridge boys and some from the 50s.

If I had to nail a favorite, it would be Eagles Live or Yes 90125 or Metallica Ride the Lightning. This last one came out the year I got my first car and this was one of the first cassettes I played in that car.

I remember 8 track players in my dads cars but by the time I was driving I had the latest cassette player radio. My dad kept his 8 tracks under the drivers seat and when one wouldn't play right he would pull it out of the player and spit in it and it would play better somehow. That didn't work as well with cassettes being I didn't treat them any better, the case never lasted more than a week. CDs were marketed to last forever but out of the case they were shorter lived than anything. I spent a few years burning CDs on a desktop at least I could reproduce them over and over. The last fifteen years I don't even turn the radio on in a vehicle anymore

To me, my favorite album is Kiss "Destroyer"

Released in March of 1976...
I got the album and cherry red 1961 Gibson double-cut Les Paul Jr. for my birthday in May of 1976

Ace Frehley was my hero, and over the years I learned to play the album front to back, back to front.
I was raised around heavy influences of bluegrass, country and gospel...everyone in my family plays an instrument of some fashion...but when I dropped that needle on the Destroyer album I was done. Finished. Over. Full stop. Period.

It actually set me on a path that I still roam today. I will listen to anything worthwhile, especially outlaw country, but power cords and glitz still yank my chain. I love loud rock n roll.

My vote for best album ever would be Ozzys double album compilation "Live and Loud"
It gets played at least once a week, every week around here.

I surely didn’t expect two people with DH as their favorite album.

If you’ve missed HolyName, should definitely check their self titled and live albums out. They feature Ryan Clark on one track, and Brook Reeves (Impending Doom) on another. It’s a different take but still solid. One of my favorites lately.

Gorillaz, first album, self titled. I really wanted to say the Beatles White Album or Zeppelin 1, Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet, among a million others but every time I hear a Gorillaz song it's just cool and well crafted. Crap I just remembered Martin Scorsese Presents the Blues. Not technically an "album" but a collection of songs that make up a 3 or 4 disc "album"....it's pretty freakin' sweet! Too hard, I give up...Patsy Cline Showcase Album circ 1961.

No way I could just pick one. I think my top 5 all time favorites would be

Boston - Boston
My Father's Son - Ricky Skaggs
High Top Mountain - Sturgill Simpson
Turnpike Troubadours- Turnpike Troubadours
If You See Me Riding By - Chatham Rabbits

Lots of good stuff here.
I can listen to many of these for hours, but I haven't seen Dire Straights yet so I'll add that one.
Anything Mark Knopfler does is pretty much magic.

Jayhawks, The Jayhawks, is pretty great too. I forgot the Cranberries...Blitzen Trapper Furr, The Band's first album, it's just too hard.
