That is some good eats. Not exactly what I call "S##t on a shingle" but pretty close.
2nd dessert was homemade angel food cake with strawberries1/2 lb venison burgers. Ketchup mustard pickles and grilled onion
Had lettuce out but I came to my senses before putting it on today
Desert was a large sweet potato with honey butter and cinnamon

She must be my wife’s sister! Now while some people brag on their wives cooking, and I truly love to see some of them pictures of how well your treated ( @woodmoose for example)
My wife lacks in the cooking skillset, so last night she decided to "make" dinner, and had left overs this morning

To be fair, she can order stuff like a champ, and if things need to be microwaved, I doubt there's anyone better lol

We always put the deer heart in the pickled eggs jar at camp and tounge also! After the rabbit hunt. Jalapeño poppers, steak/chicken sandwich, little macaroni and cheese, souse meat, and...pickled deer heart. 1st time eating that and it was extremely good and tender. I'll be making my own. Sliced deer hearts in white vinegar with lots off red pepper. Deer heart is on the plate at 5 o'clock and in jar. Any northerners eat pickled deer hearts? The chef is from upstate NY.

The Role of Beans
Beans became a common ingredient in chili as the dish spread and adapted to local tastes. While traditional chili con carne often features meat, the inclusion of beans reflects the influence of various regional cooking styles. This adaptation made chili more filling and affordable, especially during the 19th century when it became popular among cowboys and settlers.
