Well hard to beat fresh backstrap but with the latest doe I cut up one of the hams and made some stew.... nothing fancy deer, carrots, potatoes and onions into the crockpot. It smelled wonderful when I came in from the stand last evening. No brown gravy mix to add to thicken before eating so added a packet of chicken gravy and it turned out nice.

Some biscuits and I lived high last evening. Even have some leftover for a couple more meals....

Son gave a sous vide for Christmas, not sure about it just yet, might have to try on some fish next. But did some Buffalo steaks, likely would have better finishing off on the BBQ instead of the frying pan
Been doing sous vide for a long time, it can be overwhelming at first. Feel free to send me a message if you have questions

1000014758.jpg2.5lb section of bone-in prime rib last night for New Year's Eve in honor of my father in law who passed away 7 years ago. The man loved a good steak, and bread. Lots of bread.

Steak dry brined and cooked sous vide 133°/8hrs, rested a bit then seared. It was delicious
