It’s a shame you had to buy that flounder. I may have a source for some fresh 🤣. That’s a good looking plate. I love me some seafood. If you like scallops and haven’t tried them before get some wrapped in bacon.
It is a shame for sure. Flounder fishing and gigging/bowfishing use to be one of my favorite things to do before the mess we have now. Same here, I like about everything that comes out the water.

I’ll try new things but that doesn’t make sense to me either. Can the dressing really soak through that hard shell to flavor the meat. Call me crazy but I’m not a big fan of the soft shells. My dad and sisters love them so I let them have my share

I have not tried cleaning the crabs 1st for a boil. Do not care for steamed cleaned first.
I think a good seasoned butter sauce sauteed on the stove would come out nice.

That one you made up here was bangin. I agree about not cleaning first. Need that mustard to disperse 😍. Damn. You talked me into it. I’ll try to have some caught early next week

In a boil is probably my favorite too. I can see the flavor getting inside in a boil but it don’t seem like marinading them would get flavor inside. If they are grilled I like to dip the meat in butter

You need to do more than try. You better get that wife on some crabs. Don’t take her out when the weather is so bad you almost sink in 18” of water 🤣

I didn’t know it was that bad. Glad yall made it out safe
I’m kidding. We were crabbing in 5-8’ froth of water. Seems to be the sweet spot for summer hot weather crabs around here. But caps were between 12”-24” depending on the wind. Laughable numbers…unless you’re a dumb ass in a square stern canoe on a river 2 miles wide at that area. It’s interesting being far enough out that beach goers look like little dots on the shoreline but you’re still in 5’ of water
