my old dog we put down this spring was the same damn way with peas.

it told me all I needed to know on how a dog can use it's tongue,, that mutt of ours would get every bit of macaroni, hamburger and every bit of any grease - basically "lick the plate clean" (so to speak),,, but them peas would all be there

if'n I could have figured that out my career choices would have been different,,,,,,,,,

Hahah I audibly laughed at that. Touché my friend. And don’t discount the nose (I say to the guy with jam up dogs). I started putting peas at the bottom of his bowl under his dry food and he would dig at it and find the peas and suck em up and spit em on the ground. Miss that old man. A lot of days I was apathetic and not wanting to run the trap line but he would walk over to my waders hanging up at 4:30 am before work and bark at me

Forgot to add: @kilacam needs to be invited to forum get togethers at all costs. Dude can cook
I seriously was just eating some left overs for dinner and was thinking I need to find where @kilacam lives and go see what he’s having for dinner 🤣. I don’t know if it taste good but he has some good looking meals. I wouldn’t be opposed to showing up on @Jimbob78 doorstep either to see what’s for dinner 🤣

Hell I prob won’t even make the damn thing . So much for nice culinary comments and friendship huh? Word is the mountain archery hunt. Good dues on that expedition
Yea I've been looking at that but that's a bad time for a teacher to take off work and I still haven't pulled the trigger on getting a new bow. If something comes up later in the year or the spring I'll try and make it happen. I really wanted to go to the spring turkey camp but I had other turkey boondoggles planned and our second daughter was only a few months old and handful at the time so I just couldn't swing it. Plus I'll probably burn the crap out of whatever I cook now that you hyped me up.

It was Chinese tonight, I finally just got finished mowing the grass after sheering off a bolt holding the spindle/pulley together on my middle blade.

not the most exciting meal pic.
had a bunch of ugly tomatoes so I made sauce.
roasted the tomatoes, garlic and some peppers. peeled them mostly and threw them in with some other onion and peppers. had to add a can or 2 of cheap sauce and some paste. added sausage and meatballs.
tried some chickpea pasta. it sucked.
sauce was good.

Got home from an 11 day work run and Wife made me a fancy salad (Roman lettuce, Tomatoes l, little bell pepper, avocado, nectarine, salad topper with pecans and then dried blueberries and some Goat cheese), baked tater, and a main event - rare filet mignon with sautéed onions
