^^^what he said, a decent capper is sweet. Does a scope need added?..or fiber optic sights?I'd keep that sidelock and buy myself a really well made capper! I guess I'm from the old school about muzzlelading guns and prefer the old way.
Good choice, I bought one at end-of-season closeout this past season and just sighted it in, 300 grain Barnes original, the new Harvester orange sabots for .458 diameter bullets and 100 grains blackhorn 209 shoots great, can't wait to shoot a deer with it.
45 cal 240 grain HP over 100 grains has always been the most accurate load for my shorter barrel muskets.I haven't shot it yet.
I usually shoot 245gr powerbelts with 150 pyrex in my Thunderhawk.
What you guys finding best load for these optimas?
