What gun do you wish you had back?

Killed my first deer with a Browning 20 gauge sxs that was my dad’s. He traded it for something. Would love to have that. Don’t remember model and have not run across one since

I really wish I wouldn’t have sold my JM stamped Marlin 45-70. It was the stainless steel/laminate stock version.

I bought off a guy who was needing money bad. I got the gun with Nikon scope and 4 boxes of ammo for $400.

A few years later I saw the JM stamped Marlins were bringing good money so I pulled the scope off of it and sold just the gun for $850.

That money has long been spent and I’ll never be able to replace that gun for anywhere near that price.

Fortunately for me, I’ve learned my lesson on getting rid of guns. Now, I just sell them to my Dad. Then I still use them anytime I want and half the time he just leaves them at my house 😂

The browning gold that I bought in 2007 that my cousin accidentally dropped in shearon harris lake in 25 feet of water. My cousin convinced me to buy when I really didn't want to, worst gun I've ever owned in my life. If I even thought about pulling the trigger on that gun it was jamming. I'd like to have it back so I could beat my cousin up side the head with it for convincing me to buy it to begin with :ROFLMAO:

In truth, I wish I had the majority of the guns I traded or sold off back. Just on principle alone.

But there are three that really stand out.

A Ruger No.1-V in .300 Win Mag.- I kick myself every time I think about this one. Feller in our Georgia hunting club saw it, and just HAD to have it, and offered me over 3x what I paid for it. I was in my early twenties and thought I could replace for less than he offered. I only ever saw one other No.1-V in .300 Win Mag, and they wanted over 5x what he paid me for mine.

One of the original Remington Alaskan Wilderness Rifles. They were introduced in 1994, and I got my hands on this one in 2000. I killed a few deer and a wild hog with it in the next couple years. At the time, this rifle had one major downfall to me... It was chambered in 7mm Rem Mag and not .300 Win Mag. So I sold it off and tracked down an AWR in .300 Win Mag. Looking back, I wish I'd kept it. The original AWR was one of the best of the Remington line back in the mid 90's.

This last one is recent, and it's a mistake I just keep making. I just can't keep myself from falling into this trap. A Remington M700 Mtn Rifle in .280 Rem. This is the model produced in the 80's and early 90's. No infernal DM. I've had several over the years, and love the rifles. All have been great shooters. But sadly, I've let every one I've had go. This last one didn't hurt quite so bad initially, as I sold it to a friend for his daughter. However she quickly traded it off in favor of a Browning with a synthetic stock, stainless barrel, etc. She ended up hating the Browning, and now we both wish we'd never gotten rid of that Mountain Rifle.

You had one I regret you getting rid of ! Big time !

A 20ga Ruger Red Label with English stock which I bought and gave to my grandson when he turned 13. He's now 29 and I doubt he has taken it afield more than 3 times in the years since.

He's too busy chasing skirts and getting :donk:donk:donk:donk-faced with his buds.

All of them .One that sticks out was a Ruger 44 carbine. Traded it for a Glenfield 30-30 that I still have 40yrs later.

I ask myself this question constantly.

I am in a vicious cycle of buying AKs and then sell/trade them and miss them. Maybe it's rose colored glasses in hindsight 🤷‍♂️ .
Bought a kit build 74, sold ( it was a bad kit, but shot well)
Bought a draco, sold it to a friend (regret because of the price paid vs sold)
Bought an zastava M92 , traded it out, but got a deer with it at 200-250 yds (wish I had held onto it for when I got into suppressors with the new 7.62x39 subx)
Traded for a Saiga 410 I currently have. I just listed it today because I need the money more than I need another 410, Kinda miss it already, but I really don't need it.

Feeling the itch for a micro Draco and 9mm pp-19 clone build already :ROFLMAO:

I bought blued 6” security six .357 about a yea and a half ago and absolutely love it! Added a red dot and it shoots 1” groups at 60 yrds all day , it will be with me deer hunting this year looking for blood ! I don’t ever see myself selling it
Those 1976 commemorative with engraving on receiver are forever. I paid $155 for a new 6” SS in 1976. Goes well with my Marlin 39A Goldie

Why don't you just find yourself a Krink kit ?
Bet you'd never get rid of it. 😎
