Shot in a Walther PPQ 22LR

Looks like out of battery. Did it fire from the firing pin hitting it or the slide hitting it. A bolt or slide hitting it when a bullet is bent in the case and causes it not to close will do that.

Apr 27, 2022 #9 Eric Revo Old Mossy Horns Contributor I'd have a look at the extractor as well, if it's bent it can cause a out of battery ignition of a rim fire.

Apr 28, 2022 #10 dc bigdaddy Old Mossy Horns Contributor I didn't shoot it. It was Remington bulk ammo. I think it was actually shot. My opinion is, it's the ammo, not seating correctly for some reason.

Apr 28, 2022 #11 Dick Twelve Pointer Contributor I've had many issues with bulk Remington and federal .22 ammo. damaged rounds out of the box. I'd try some reliable ammo
