Kinda different. The majority of guys who plant for deer, especially large acreage, will have rules and management goals. The majority (I said majority, not all) of guys who throw corn out will bitch and complain about the deer going nocturnal because they’ve only shot 3 does, 2 knotheads, a cow horn and 2 four points in the first 10 days of the season.
Exact same can be said guys who plant fir ducks vs guys who dump corn.
I’m not necessarily against either, I just know theirs completely different mindsets that come with the methods.

Your scenario sounds exactly like what Kahunter described. One crowd with 800 managed acres and other crowds overhunting their acreage shooting often.

Critters react accordingly.
