Spent several hours today thrashing the waters with the fly rod. Surprise, woolly bugger. Tried a couple different nymph patterns with no results. At one point I seen quite a few fish in a pool. They wouldn't touch either nymph or the aforementioned woolly bugger. I moved on a returned several minutes later. First cast and a brook hit my streamer, go figure.
Relaxing is an understatement when in a cold, quiet, and beautiful flow. Good fishing dudes.
PS> The last brookie slammed the streamer like he had a grudge. Run like he'd stole something.
