A while back my old man gave me this muzzleloader after receiving it from his father in law and having no use for it. It appeared that it had been shot and put up dirty so after making my own disassembly tool with 3/4 threaded rod and an hour on an angle grinder (couldn’t find one online) I got it cleaned up.

The breech plug seems to be in great shape and intact, but there is some serious corrosion on the #11 nipple and I’m going to need a new one. Spent considerable time online and have come up empty handed.

Anyone have any idea what size/thread it is, and where I could get a replacement? I tried swapping in the nipple from my Knight LK-93 and it’s obviously different. I also need a scope mount, and the gun is already D/T but I’m very green with muzzleloaders and don’t know what mounts work for this rifle. Pics below, appreciate any help

According to Numrich you can use Weaver 418 bases. Looks like the nipple is an M6x1mm thread
Thank you - I was actually just able to find the 418 base info on weavers site, not sure how I missed it. Where on earth did you find the nipple thread? The best I’ve done over the past week is a couple threads on other forums where nobody came to a consensus.
