Roll them in a light coat of olive oil and season them up......roll them in the skillet for as long as you feel necessary....I like em with a little char on themLooks good!! My idea of okra is rolled in cornmeal and fried to crispy brown in a cast iron skillet!! May give your method a try!

I have heard it was if you don't wear socks, it is my understanding it is so slick it goes through so fast it will knock your socks off.Pickled okra is good too
I love them things.Stewed with some speckled butter beans it's pretty good too.
