I been playing with a few different loads and bullets.
Powder BH 209
I needed some primers I did get the CCI M209.
I did pick up a box of cheap shot 240 gr. H.P.
100 yards from the bench 80 gr. Of 209
First shot a little left
Second shot a little high.
Readjust the scope 4 shots one hole
I do find loading a little more muscle is needed

Question does anyone know what the numbers mean on the backside black sabots.
The ones in the t/c package are number#21
I would say these look like MMP sabots

Most likely a HPH-24 if the number looks stamped or typed into the sabot. Not sure the meaning of the 21.

I am very surprised that these cheap shot take a little more muscle on the Ramrod.
The Hornady xtp mag with mmp# 24 black sabot may just be my follow up shot in the field.
They go down no problem .

You could probably use a little bore butter on the sabot, but shooting that well I would leave everything as is.

I have killed several deer with cheap shots. They tend to break apart and not exit like the .44 cal xtps I have used. I get the cheap shots for 5 bucks a Walmart on sale. They are accurate and kill just fine. I had trouble tracking a buck one time in the thick stuff after shooting him with a cheap shot.

I have no doubt in using them. Just don’t expect premium performance

I ran a few 44 cal. Hornady xtp .430 dia. down the bore over 90 gr. 209 with the solid green sabots from Hornady tight loading but also needed a starter hammer.
Shot excellent ?
I just received the harvester crush rib green it did a great job ,bullet now is easy to load .
I also did find the impact rifle doesn't like the CCI 209 M primers.
I switched back to federal 209A
Groups came back together
