That daughter of mine...

All of you with daughters, just keep the big picture in mind. At least they’re interested in BOYS, and they still believe they are a GIRL.

Teach them early that neither their worth nor their identity come from the attention they receive from boys. Just like in making deals, power comes from the willingness to walk away.

My 15 year old has no real interest yet. She says all the boy at the high school are either gay, drive a squatted truck (see fist issue) or are just too dang stupid for her. She's a smart young lady (3rd in her class) and is tough to add to it. Half my buddies would take her to the bar as back up. They all say she would be the first to cut someone.

My wife and I have two daughters who we are extremely proud of. One is married and her husband is the son I never had. Fishes, hunts, races dirt bikes, very conservative, and most importantly, loves Jesus. Our other daughter isn’t married but her BF is just like my SIL. Plus they get along great. I am a blessed man for sure.

I have 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 2 wonderful son in laws, raise your daughters right and you have no worries. My daughters picked out the sons I never had.

Years ago, I was sitting on the Outer Banks with one of my brother in laws. Our girls (he has 2) were there and the boys were eyeing them. He looks over at me and with a grin says, these boys don't know what they are about to get into. In a few years, they will be buying these girls cars, taking out the trash, mowing the yard and she will be telling him what he is eating for supper and how often he will have sex.

If you are worried about who they are dating, what have you been teaching them?

I hope my 3 granddaughters can do as well.
