Thanksgiving Hunt

I'm going to see family for Thanksgiving, but my flight on Nov. 26th doesn't leave until just after 5:00 pm that day. So, I'm planning to spend Thanksgiving morning in the squirrel woods.

I've never hunted on Thanksgiving before. What is it like? Just like any other day? Or will the game lands be packed with people hunting deer? Or will there be nobody there?

as far as deer hunting goes, Opening day of "gun season" and Thanksgiving Day are about the two most popular days for deer hunters to hit the woods. Hunters who don't hunt any other day will hunt those days. "Black Friday" is a pretty popular day too...

Sometimes its just pure luck and very dependant on the public you choose. Last year not to bad but other years slam full. It is pretty traditional to hunt morning then dinner in eve

I know the Anson County big game hunt starts black Friday usually. That weekend is the only time my buddy and his family hunts.
