Killing me not to be out there as I was traveling... Pictures and memories like that makes letting them walk away when they are 2.5 yo much easier. I have laid eyes on a 3d or 4th shooter on that same 60 acres this year already.. Itching to get back out now..

Congrats again.

Yes sir...nice one right there...you think he was coming from a bedding area, that late in the evening?
Ayup...I made an educated guess on where he spent his days and nights, then got in between em. I reckon I guessed right;)

About as sure as I can be, that this is the same deer. Note the date...I had him at 3.5 then, and the jaw backs that up.

Good hunt and with your dad , Pop ? , better !
what county ?
very nice deer .
if you could keep him near and safe till next year or next 2 months so
he could do his gene thing, well what a luxury someone would have.
I 'd say take him otherwise , especially with a bow .

Orange Co.

As far as spreading his genes, he had 5.5 years to get that done, and hes safe and sound in my freezer lol:)

Lizzard, was your post serious?
near and safe? To do his gene thing?
how you do that sans high fence?
If you were 'funning" I apologize. And laugh with you now.

Great deer and story. No offense to the deer, but the best part to me is, hunting with your dad. Special times that are to often overlooked. While not quite as close as 200 yards my dad and I are in the windy woods right now. Maybe 500 yards apart. Just thankful and Blessed.

Again congratulations on the deer.
