Button Buck
Interested in getting a spinning wing decoy. I see a lot of negative reviews about them flaring ducks. Are they worth it or just stick to my Ripplers?
That's why I have 3 ripplers, those jerk rigs are a pain in my rear. I applaud those that use them.My experience they work ok early but then seem to flare birds. Stick to having movement on the water seems to be more effective like a jerk rig. Spinners do seem to work pretty good on bluebills.
I don’t know that the butt up feeders help much. I think they look better to the hunter than they do to the ducks. If I was going to have a butt up feeder is spend the money and get a pulsater. I’ve hunted with guys that use those and they put out a lot motion.
Oh man. Don't say that.If all you lose duck hunting is $130, you’re doing something right
Im actually looking forward to that part, eventuallyThe dog is the expensive part
That doesn’t look like a successful huntView attachment 164896View attachment 164897
From my first successful hunt. I believe I was trying to put down a crippled drake. But know I'm concerned about spending 130$+ on an electronic decoy.
I know where some pups areI

Put the decoy in the middle of my spread... and of course that's where they both landed.I have never seen a decoy take that much of the load
Info would be greatly appreciatedI know where some pups are
You’re supposed to shoot them before they land or get them up then shoot.Put the decoy in the middle of my spread... and of course that's where they both landed.

I haven’t had much luck getting deer to come to my mojoThere aren’t any ducks in NC for them to flare. Deer hunting is much easier
You didn’t have enough corn under itI haven’t had much luck getting deer to come to my mojo

They wouldn't get clogged in flooded timber/ fields?I don’t know that the butt up feeders help much. I think they look better to the hunter than they do to the ducks. Do it!Info would be greatly appreciated
The guys I was with use them in timber but they did put them in open water. Just don't throw it out where the water is dirty like in grass and make sure the water is deep enough it doesn’t suck stuff off the bottom and you’d be fine. They wouldn't get clogged in flooded timber/ fields?
