Sat on a Jury for a Shooting with intent to kill charge. There was a second charge of discharging a firearm into a moving/occupied vehicle. The shooter claimed self defense. We ended up having a hung jury 6-6. I was one of the not guilty. I was probably 60-40 Guilty/Not Guilty in my mind. Nowhere near beyond a reasonable doubt for me. Both the "victim" and the "shooter" fled the scene after the shooting. The "shooter" turned himself in a month later and has been sitting in jail for the past 14 months waiting on a trial.

Sat on a jury a couple of years ago, Charges were felony child abuse, assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, breaking and entering, all over an ex-wife. and he got shot on top of that by the new boyfriend, found guilty after about 2 hours of deliberation very interesting to say the least. no charges on the boyfriend self defense.

I’ll post about deliberation tonight or tomorrow. Some people can’t read. Guy should be real thankful I was on the Jury.
