Twelve Pointer
Took Logan tonight, heading to Windsor-Lochs, CT then LI this week. Followed by Cincinatti, back to ATL, and Seattle before Waycross GA all in the next month or so. Wanted to get him out before travel took my time. Saw some awesome schools but they seemed uninterested. Action did pick up and landed these 4 trout(Tiger, Brown, 2 ‘Bows. Then when helping him I put the St. Croix fly rod down and a minute later saw its line taking off. A young bass found the hook in the shoreline and thought it was dinner. After that Logan went to drive the Landowner’s Excavator. I had my Spinning St Croix rod on a prop hook. It got hit hard and in a second was in the water. When the ripple cleared I thought it was gone with about $450. I just bought it and the reel this year. The jolt of the pole hitting water must have shocked the fish. It was submerged but I could see it so I did the natural thing. I dove in full clothed and retrieved it then landed the fish. It was another big perch. Think my new IPhone is shot now but got the pole. I didn’t throw the perch back after that. All in all, a good day with the boy.
