I have noticed in the last few years, at least central N.C. the buck doe ratio where I am hunting is better than previous years. At least 10 years.
Do you think that media and people talking bucks and buck management has discouraged the taking of yearling-2 year old males?
I still see does and doe groups but I feel like I have seen a pile of younger males this year.
I believe pictures and media proves that the deer get bigger with birthdays. No matter where you are. Let’s not advertise N.C. now but dang dang dang.
According to studies and hunting market sales hunters or license holder numbers are way up. I’m sure not all hunt deer but dang.
