See snakes about every day picking peanuts. They get ran through the picker and blown in the basket without a scratch somehow. Usually the guys leveling the trailers are the ones that sees them when they are dumped on their feet.

Not the snake but something he left behind

I seen two long thin black snakes last week in the woods soaking up some sun. Didn't see the first one until it was headed to a small hole in a rocky place. I was down on one knee looking in the hole it went in when I heard the second one coming through the leaves towards the same hole. I had to take a step back to get out of it's way. Not sure if they were just thin from the winter or if they were racers but didn't look like most black snakes I see around

Cleaning up around old pastures today with a bush hog and track loader. Saw a monster copperhead, guessing a female by her size. Almost run over her with the loader but she didn't want any part of me and wasn't where she would cause any problems so she got a pass. Then I was down around my pond cleaning up around the edge and ran up on a big old water snake with a pisssy attitude. I almost set the bush hog on it just because it was so hateful but let it go. Guess I was in a forgiving mood today.

All the warm weather things are out in force this week. I am getting buzzed daily now by wasps, done got a gnat in my eye and even grabbed a honey bee while I was pulling some clover for my chickens. The darn stinkbugs are worse as I have ever seen in the house during spring

Have seen a pile of water snakes while fishing this week. One came right by the trolling motor yesterday evening and my 2 year old son saw it and he said "want it" lol He thinks snakes are as harmless as the frogs he catches in the yard.

I was on the tractor yesterday and drove by a king snake about 32 inches long . Tried to get a pic but didn’t want to co-operate .

I was spraying weed killer around the barn yesterday and accidentally sprayed a black snake right in the face, didn't see him till it was too late.
I'm hoping he'll be ok but I'm afraid he'll go blind.

What were you spraying? Not sure if a snake's eyes are affected by a pesticide spray like a mammal's eyes. I think @Duckmauler dhc wife is a veterinarian. If so, maybe he can find out.

I saw what appeared to be a cottonmouth while mowing along the ditch near the ponds. Didn’t see him until the deck was right at his position. Not sure the outcome but didn’t go back to investigate.
