Small game kills 2025-2026

Greetings everyone!

This is my first post. Loving all the photos and stories of your hunts. This year has been a blast. Been putting my grandfathers Browning A5 to work and doing some Squirrel Hunting on public land in Pisgah National Forest in Henderson County

Here's a few pics from this last weekend hunt

Rabbit Hunted today but with it hot and dry we only hunted a few hours and rabbits won on the 3 runs we had.

Gonna do our annual Mountain Rabbit hunt the 19th so we should do better but this guy should not have flushed in front of me.

Woodcocks usually dont get away from me. Easiest birds to hit besides owls on fence post. lol.

My first trapping scores. 2 nice boar coons. A fellow club member and I decided to start running some traps targeting mostly egg stealers and then coyotes. Ive never done it before, he did it about 15 yrs ago. I Set out 4 DP, 2 conibear cubbies and 2 leg holds yest and had Hits on two DPs overnight. I’m gone do a few more days at this number then add a few more as I learn what I’m doing.

Got a grinner in a leg hold last night. No activity there over the last week so On a whim, I threw a pheasant carcass by it yest afternoon. Worked pretty good. Gonna put another LH there tomorrow am. The nearby foot bridge across the ditch is a pretty good choke point IMG_3459.webpIMG_3461.webpAlso got a female coon on a DP in a new set up as of yest. Gonna try the fatty coon Carcass on a LH trap too.
