Today was the first time I skinned an otter , my first one obviously . I was talking to Prune and told him I must be mentally ill because I enjoyed skinning it far more than beaver. The tail and legs turned out great. Made a few crappy cuts on the head/face but was able to look at the carcass afterwards n see where I had messed up. I think I was more relaxed knowing I wasn’t gonna have to butcher afterwards. I’ll be sending in the jaw to NCWRC for one of their studies . It was nice to get in the zone and just skin.
