nice,,,that first picture - that ball looks like a shot putt going through the air.

with those wet fields, I bet it made a nice "splash" when it hit the dirt at the other end

can you recover the balls or are they gone to deep when they land?

Cost is about 40$ a shot but we can recover and use the balls again if not damaged.
They are zinc and about 18 pounds 24 if iron.
The were almost 2 ft down due to the wet.

Thats is how it is done.
For a competition we shoot 7 balls and score 5. Closest to a 2" pin at 100 yards.
Best we could pull of is all 5 balls total from pin at 13'. One touching and a few within a few inches. We measure edge of pin to closest edge of ball and add up 5 balls total.
No matter what you do the first on cold bore will drop short. If you try to play the weather and add powder than you will blow long... best to suck it up and ditch the first round as a sighter.
