Serve you meat? Would you like a vegetable? (K&W closing)

Our K&W here in Kannapolis/Concord has gone down hill steadily in the past 2-3 years. Not as clean and no matter what you got it was cold. I can stand a lot of things but cold food that supposed to be hot isn't one of them....

Used to love K&W. The one I ate at mostly was in Myrtle Beach back in the day when we had a place down there for over 25 years.

Great food ...

just looked. K&W in Mrytle beach Closed in 2018 and now is an Edoscopy Center.

Their Dutch Apple or Coconut pies were killer. Ate there many a time - mostly lunch. Coliseum

You are correct. Moose was there, Johnnie was there. He made name tags. I think that was where we wore out our welcome with the game calls. We only met there once cause it closed after that. A couple years later we met at K&S/D&S in Cary. After that we moved to the more permanent location of Golden Corral.
Haha,
I can't believe you remember that. Those crappy tags I made wouldn't stick hardly at all. They were an embarrassment for me, but I tried. They had the old NCDeer logo on them if I recall correctly. Likely around 2000 I'd guess.

Years ago we went to that location a couple of times a month at least. There was a woman who worked there for years, and she was the bread lady. We referred to her as bread. She always said " Bread? Serve you?" She could have passed for Beetlejuice's sister with dark ringed sunken eyes, but she was always there.
That’s her!!! I will never forget

COVID lit the fuse for their demise.

I loved K&W and was devastated when the one n Greenville closed. My FIL knew the name of every employee at the Wilson KW before it closed.

I liked that it was a fast way to get real vegetables and a meat that was not necessarily fried. I could write poetry about the French silk pie. Sorry I’ll never have another slice from the line.
