Scupper flap for boat question

My flap has broken off. It’s been missing for a while. I have found 2 sizes that look like they should work. 1.5 inch or 1.625 inch. I am wondering if the the 1.65 may fill up the hole too much and be too tight to “flap”. Which is the best size or should I get a better measurement? Any places you guys recommend buying one from over my google search? Thanks.

Just my thought.

If you look at the gap on the remaining piece, I feel the actual piece would be closer to 1.5.

I believe their 1.5.... I ditched flaps for ping pong balls (I know they look cheesy) a long time ago and stopped all the problems related to that issue...

Yep...fought the water getting in/out and got the ping pong balls and all problems solved...so simple but it works to perfection. If you will try it just thank us later.. You will never see anyone that has them will say the same thing.
