Twelve Pointer
Hooked this striper and handed rod to daughter, this was the largest one we’ve ever caught in 20 years of fishing for them. It was out of slot, hooked on corner of mouth and swam off well to make more baby stripers.

This was up in Maine.

These were from earlier this year down in SW Florida fishing a near shore reef. I'll get some more recent photos when I go this weekend. The funny thing was that my pops was down here and never quite got the feel of the sheepshead bite hahaha. I told him, there's a lot of really good anglers that never really figure it out. haha.

The fishing must be slow up near the shore from south nagshead to Oregon inlet. Usually see a steady flow this time of year. Since Sunday only seen 2 or 3 boats that were fishing

That's a pile of black grouper bait right there . 14/0 circle hook through the nose and send one down on the bandit I use to use them for bait and would catch blacks with hooks in there mouths but that was before the divers moved in .
The bottom bite was terrible. Fished from 130' to 405'. Mostly trash fish.

well he cant help his stature. :) Mean MFErs even when they are tiny. Best fish God ever created. imo.
I could not function in society if I could get to them on a daily basis.
Yeah they’re definitely mean. I’ve been catching a pile of slot and over slot ones for a month and a half now but that’s the first 6” one. Lol

I didn’t get a decent pic, only a short video so I’ve attached the “proof” screenshot. We ended up with 8-10 sheepshead night diving the pilings in the creek. Viz was adequate but not enough to check multiple pilings on one drop. Never found any giants but good ones to put whole on the grill. They will go nice with the bucket of clams we picked up the next morning.
