My Summer, King Fishing at Seaview Pier. Started off hot, in late May, with 2 Kings, 19 (Not pictured) and 22 lbs. then, it got hot. Had several Sharks on, and released a Tarpon. Got 2 more Kings, a couple of weeks ago, and a few big Spanish, 4 lbs, to 5 lb 10 oz. Packed it up today (Sunday), headed home, to start hunting.

We got off shore about 20 miles here in the Gulf SW Florida and hit some rubble fields for some snapper and grunt. Fun day, put a good number on ice and even had a shot at some under sized cobia and triple tail. Great days of fishing are here now for those willing to get out there.

My pals up in NC are beating up the Kings and Spanish. One caught a 6.25# spanish last week and this week they followed it up with a massive black tuna. Tiss the season for some really hot off shore fishing. Cheers.

Took advantage of the calm before the storm today. I have no idea how many fish we caught , but it was the most fish of any kind I’ve ever caught in 1 day. Mostly gray trout and spanish. Kept a few for the table, but this isn’t a drop in the bucket of what we caught.

We had a cold front come through and were lucky enough to get out but had to avoid the wave action down here in SWFL on the gulf, so we hit the backwater. Caught some nice reds and if we could have gotten away from the dolphins back there we would have had a banner day. All that said, check out this Snook my bro landed. You don't see much bigger this side of Florida.

He came down to visit from Detroit and we setup some cutbait on an oyster bed that sat in front of a mangrove island. We hadn't gotten bit the first 10 minutes there so the captain asked that we reel in. I started to reel up and felt weight and a head shake so I immediately handed my rod to my bro. I knew it was a good fish but I didn't think it was this fish. Great time on the water for everybody on the boat. Fall fishing is just starting to get good.

Another week on the water and my gosh what a beauty of a day. We put over 100 fish over the gunwales but unfortunately they were either out of season, protected (goliath grouper and red grouper) or undersized but it was an awesome day. I even got to tangle with a Cobra (cobia), short and not legal but fun. Look how flat that Gulf water is.....amazing!

Threw back twice as many as we kept. Most all we caught were above legal size. Cold ride out, but flat seas on the way in.
We caught a legal bass down here in FL and it's by far one of the best eating fish I've ever put in the ice box. It's a special fish, both in the color of the meat, the flavor and texture is off the charts. Great catch!

Yes sir! By far my favorite fish off the bottom, and dang near the top overall!
