And that 25-06 will kill deer deader than most other rounds ...Picked up this 1972 model M77 in 25-06 last year. Replaced the included standard Leupold rings with low Leupold rings. Mounted a Leupold VX2 in 3-9x40. Haven't had a chance to zero it yet.

25-06 is a stone cold killer!!!!I have a 1982 model in .25-06 with a Leupold Vari X III 3.5x10x40. One rifle that will never be sold. She loved Hornady 120 gr. Hollow points over IMR 4831 (can't remember the exact charge). Pretty sure they quit making that bullet some time ago. Got lucky and a member on here was selling some. Bought 200 so I should be set for the rest of my life as I do not shoot the old girl near as much as I should. Made my longest kill shot ever with this rifle 338 yards.
