Went there today to kill time while my son was in his preschool class. Had 3 hours to fish. I have to admit working from the bank I was able to get 7 strikes. Had to work for all of them. Went to places that were hard to fish but a floating worm over some blow downs was working. Bad part was the tight spots led to some missed hook sets. Only landed 2 fish.

Oddest part was I had 2 big catfish follow a topwater frog back to the bank. They just hung out 2 inches from it and wouldn't bite. Guessing the biggest was 5+ pounds.

I was at little Jordan in kayaks last Saturday. Didn't really fish much but did talk to a guy who was catching cats on top water baits.

I've caught one on a crankbait once and one trolling a panther Martin but them chasing topwaters was a first for me.
