Residential Telco wiring question

I figured somebody here would know this:

I live on a slab. The exterior has two cat5 cables exiting the wall, and two coax cables exiting the same spot.

To my knowledge, there is only 1 coax and 1 cat5 that comes back to my coat closet that is the main termination point for all the telco wires in the house (maybe I missed one).

Why are there two wires & where does the second go?

Thanks

“I don’t think it’s anything—I mean, I don’t think it was ever put to any use. That’s what I like about it. It’s a little chunk of history that they’ve forgotten to alter. It’s a message from a hundred years ago, if one knew how to read it.”

FWIW, I actually have a similar situation.
The first set was the initial basic telephone service.
The second set is from when I signed up for AT&T UVERSE Internet Service.

Prior home owner had a problem or switched carriers. Instead of removing prior cable(s), installer just fed new (probably also sniped the connectors inside).

I have similar when they installed satellite at my house, they don't use the same cables and theirs is a larger paired cable with a thicker, stiffer insulation.
